Triple collection of war dramas set during WWII. In 'The Butcher of Prague' 2011 Frantisek Sima Karel Roden is sent to prison after accidentally killing his son during a drunken argument. While he is in jail, high ranking Nazi officer Reinhard Heydrich Detlef Bothe is assassinated by two soldiers belonging to the Czech resistance and in retaliation the Nazis make an example of the small village of Lidice by killing over 300 men, women and children. Sima believes that his family and loved ones have not been in contact because of their refusal to forgive him but in time he comes to discover the truth behind their silence. In '1941' 2007 Doctor Artur Planck Joseph Fiennes and his family go on the run when the Nazis begin targeting Polish Jews. They find refuge at the farm of Emilia Kelly Harrison, a woman who lives alone after her husband left to fight on the frontline.
