Tokyo Godfathers (Satoshi Kon;Shgo Furuya;) (DVD)

Japanese anime in which three homeless friends, a young girl, Miyuki Aya Okamoto, aging transvestite Hana Yoshiaki Umegaki and middle-aged down-and-out Gin Toru Emori, have formed a makeshift family bond that sees them through life in the dirty backstreets of Tokyo. On Christmas Eve, while foraging through a rubbish dump for food, they come across an abandoned newborn baby. Hana, who has always dreamed of being a mother, persuades the others to let her keep the baby overnight. The next day, using their only clue, a key they discovered with the baby, the trio set out on an event-filled journey to find the baby's parents, coping with their own emotional reactions along the way.
