New FBI psychologist Bill Hagmaier Wood agrees to enter correspondence with serial killer Ted Bundy Kirby, having been made well aware of Bundy's manipulative skills when dealing with the FBI. As their relationship develops Hagmaier's superior Roger Depue Patrick warns Bill about becoming too close to Bundy.
