The various characters explored include diamond smugglers dressed as clowns, a man who hires a lip reader to determine whether his wife is having an affair or not, an aspiring actor who must spend time with a strange and mysterious family in their static caravan. Guest stars appearing in this series include Adrian Dunbar, Pauline McLynn and Lindsay Duncan.
