Anime following the attempts of a vampire queen to establish a colony in Japan. Mina Tepes, the queen of the vampires, makes a deal with the Japanese government to create a specific zone for vampires in order to allow them to emerge from years in the wilderness. Inevitably, however, there are some who are unhappy with the plan and attempt to unseat the queen. They haven't reckoned on her loyal protector, Akira, who swore an oath to Mina as a child and now rises to fulfill his destiny as protector of the vampire queen.
