Guy Pearce and Dakota Fanning star in this Western thriller written and directed by Martin Koolhoven. Midwife Liz Bundy Fanning's life is changed forever when a charismatic new preacher Pearce arrives in her quiet frontier town in the Old West. Blaming Liz for the death of a baby she delivered, the preacher begins making her life a misery as he subjects her to a torrent of physical and emotional abuse. Desperate and alone, Liz is forced to put her life on the line as she bravely attempts to fight back against her evil tormentor.
