Blinded By the Light (Gurinder Chadha) (DVD)

Gurinder Chadha directs this coming-of-age comedy drama set in 1980s Britain. Javed Viveik Kalra is a teenage boy of Pakistani descent who struggles to find his own identity while keeping to his family's traditional values. When a friend introduces him to the work of Bruce Springsteen, everything changes, as suddenly Javed is able to immerse himself in Springsteen's lyrics and find solace in the music. The cast also includes Kulvinder Ghir, Meera Ganatra and Rob Brydon.
